When asked about his greatest achievement over the past eight years, Anchi General Manager Huang Qishu didn't cite any sales figures or market share. Instead, his thoughts returned to the beginning of the story. In 2017, drift scooters swept the nation. Stripped of a car's luxurious interior, complex electronics, and comfort features, they retained only the most essential elements: chassis, motor, steering wheel, and wheels. It demands delivering the pulse-pounding acceleration of a go-kart launch while withstanding the surge currents and spikes triggered by bumper car collisions. It also requires dissipating the cumulative heat generated by sustained high-current operation to prevent drive components from failing under extreme temperatures. They selected automotive-grade MOSFETs capable of withstanding peak currents exceeding 200 amperes, laying a robust foundation for ample power delivery. Yet the greater challenge resided in the control program—how to harness such formidable currents for command-responsive, silky-smooth output. Engineers developed hundreds of control logic rules tailored to scenarios like takeoff, acceleration, and cornering. Through thousands of road tests and parameter refinements, they ultimately transformed raw power into an obedient yet ferocious acceleration experience, achieving true “man and machine as one.”
